nicksanywherebuthere asked: hey :) how many tattoos do you have? and whats your favorite style of tattoos?

“How many tattoos do you have?” is the most problematic question posed to tattooed individuals because often times their tattoos run together, so that many sessions, many individual tattoos, become one. What about cover ups? Do those count as two? What about someone with a full body suit? Does that count as one? So I don’t really have an answer to that question. I am tattooed, my tattoos are not a number I recite proudly to a group of individuals. I don’t mean to come off as a bitch. I don’t mean to come off as pretentious. I want to educate non-tattooed people about what it means to be tattooed—the proper etiquette used in talking to (and about) tattooed people because firstly, I find it incredibly interesting and secondly, it’s an important. Tattooed people complain about this issue, but nobody takes the time to teach others.

As for the second part, this is a great question to ask someone who is interested in tattoos or is tattooed themselves! My favorite style of tattooing borders between traditional and neo-traditional. Some traditional pieces I have seen are a little too bold for me, and I also like the use of colors besides yellow, green, and red. BUT. I have seen some traditional tattoos that I love to death. I really like traditional content, meaning daggers, ladies, butterflies and moths, ships, panthers, roses, banners, etc. I just like to see a newer influence on these, with more colors and lighter lines. I like a combination of both.

I sure do love pilot lady tattoos. Let me tell you what, it sure is hard to draw goggles at a 3/4 view.
